Harden and Durant ,snubbed by the public

The NBA is reviewing the public vote for the 2019 All-Star Game, and superstars James Harden and Kevin Durant are behind in the countdown.

The next NBA All-Star Game, scheduled for February 17 in Charlotte, is gradually taking shape. On Thursday, the league made a second update on the public vote and, so far, LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Derrick Rose and Paul George (*) are the most successful players for the Western Conference, while Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid and Dwyane Wade are emerging in the East.

We note the absence of Kevin Durant and James Harden, since the first city has been overtaken in recent days by Paul George, author of a superb season, while the second remains behind Derrick Rose, whose improbable renaissance is greeted by fans. The two MVPs (2013 for Durant, 2018 for Harden) are among the top players in the Grand League, but "KD" has been a bad name since joining the Warriors in 2016 and the "Bearded Man", phenomenal in recent weeks, is paying for the Rockets' difficult start to the season.

However, the public vote only counts for 50%, with a group of journalists and players also being consulted. The list of the 10 holders of the All-Star Game 2019 will then be announced on 24 January, then the two "captains", who are currently "King James" and "The Greek Freak", will make a draft to form their team. Finally, the two coaches (who have not yet been appointed) will select substitutes (7 per team). James Harden and Kevin Durant have no chance of missing this gala meeting.

(*) Each team is composed of two guards (back) and three players forming the short forehead (wings, strong wings and pivots).
